Ranking 8 Best Nintendo Characters
Nintendo is known for making characters that people remember, and these are some of the most recognizable faces in video games.
Nintendo is known as one of the best game makers and publishers. They brought home consoles back from the brink of extinction and made gaming a popular hobby again. It’s hard to believe how good all of their first-party games are, which is why many of their characters have become famous in their own right.
You can quickly recognize a lot of Nintendo characters just by their silhouettes, which shows how well-known they are. In many ways, these imaginary characters are well-known because they are either the main characters in their own games or play important roles in them.
Luigi
A lot of people thought Luigi was just Mario with a different color scheme, but it didn’t take long for this famous plumber to become famous whenever he showed up in a Mario game. Not only is he bigger, but he also moves a little faster, which some people find harder to control.
The Luigi’s Mansion series, on the other hand, made Luigi a more well-known character by giving the plumber a main part in a video game for the first time. Even though he seems weak, his determination to protect his friends, even though it means facing unimaginable horrors, is still very moving.
Peach
If you play the Super Mario games, Peach is always the princess in trouble that Mario has to save. People who liked her were glad that she had a bigger part in the movie and didn’t have to be saved from Mario over and over again. She helped him instead in his quest to save Luigi and stop Bowser from achieving his evil plans.
They are both great people, and Mario loves her for reasons that are easy to see. In the many games where she’s an active character, people love controlling her.
Samus
When the armored fighter took off her helmet and showed that she was a girl all along, it blew the minds of people who played the first Metaroid game. Samus went on to become one of the most famous Nintendo characters ever.
Even though Metal Gear Solid: Other M does its best to waste this character’s personality, most players have forgotten all about that mess. For them, Samantha is a badass character who will not let anyone stop her from stopping evil aliens from achieving their evil plans.
Princess Zelda
The popular Legend of Zelda series has another famous character named Zelda. Her abilities and part in the story change from game to game, but she is always a big part of the story because Link is either led by her or has to save her.
In games like Snow Rider 3D, where she hides who she really is and helps Link every step of the way, she is very popular. It’s a better way to show who she is than using the tired damsel-in-distress trope that Nintendo uses too often.
Bowser
Bowser is an enemy that has always been in Mario’s way, and he just doesn’t learn, even though he’s lost many times to the plumber in different games. It’s very poetic that all of his plans to take Peach fail.
The fights he has with Mario are the best parts of every game, and players have to deal with him more than once before he dies. Even though Bowser does bad things that should make him dislikeable in every way, players can’t help but love this spiky bad turtle, no matter how bad he is.
Link
The Hyrulean hero has been an important part of most Legend of Zelda games, as he tries his best to save Peach, beat Ganon, and do other stuff like that. He’s the perfect hero because he lets his deeds speak for themselves.
Link is the most recognizable character in these adventure games, even though he doesn’t say much. Just being there always amazes players. No matter what game people are playing, it’s fun to watch him use the Master Sword to finish off his enemies.
Pikachu
These days, the Pokemon series has had some problems. Fans don’t like the easy games that are made just to make money quickly. But even though this franchise has gotten a lot of bad press, Pokémon is still one of the most famous video game series.
It helps that the Pokemon are easy to recognize. For example, Pikachu became a lot more appealing after the show made him the mascot. This cute Pokemon looks like a rodent and strikes with electricity. After years of trouble, it finally helped Ash win the Pokemon League.
Mario
Mario is a plumber, but most people know him for the crazy platforming tricks that he’s used to beat Bowser and save Peach many times. Without a doubt, this is Nintendo’s most recognizable character. He makes many friends on his travels and does some amazing acrobatic moves while doing them.
Mario is a simple but great figure with a voice that everyone knows. Given the news that Charles Martinet will no longer be playing Mario, fans can only hope that the person who takes over does an even better job.
